Reading in Bed

Brenda K. Ward lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she enjoys a remarkable life with all the city has to offer. She is a retired full-time novelist. Brenda spent most of her years living in downtown Chicago, where she also worked. She has earned degrees in English Education and an M.S. in Psychology. Also, doctoral studies in Human Behavior. She spent time in New York City doing research and visiting the historical museums for her book The New Women and says, “Writing is not just a job - it is a passion. I pour my heart and soul into every book I write, spending countless hours developing characters and intense chapters that keep readers engaged from start to finish." She prefers calling herself a Pantster for the most part. Simply put, the technique means authoring a novel "by the seat of your pants" - that is, without an outline or a detailed plan. It is a method that involves embracing spontaneity and allowing the story to unfold organically as you write. Unexpected plot twists are what motivate Brenda. She says, "I'm proud to be counted among top authors like Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, James Joyce, Dean Koontz, and Ernest Hemingway, only to mention a few. Over the years, I have honed my storytelling skills and developed a unique voice that captures the essence of human emotion and behavior in a truly authentic way. If you are looking for an engaging and entertaining read, look no further than my collection of novels.”
